Certified Nurse-Midwives
Allen Midwifery & Family Wellness (AMFW) is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife to join their team in Allen, Texas – just 30 minutes north of Dallas!
AMFW was established in 2003 and has the unique position of being able to offer birth in both birth center and hospital settings, providing seamless continuity of care.
Allen, Texas offers the perfect blend of suburban comfort and big-city access. Located just north of Dallas, Allen is known for its top-rated schools, family-friendly neighborhoods, and strong sense of community. With easy highway access and both DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field within about a 30-minute drive, Allen provides convenient travel options while maintaining a welcoming, small-city feel—making it an ideal place to live, work, and raise a family.
Job Summary
Full-scope midwifery care (gynecology, antepartum, labor/birth, postpartum and newborn)
Participate in group 1:4 call coverage
Attend birth at both birth center and hospital; first assist in cesarean section (training provided if needed)
Clinic hours 9am-4:30 pm, average clinic day load 12-15 patients
Flexible full-time schedule: 2 clinic days/2 call days per week (clinic and call concurrent on weekdays)
Average 2-3 weekend call (24-hour) shifts per month
Guaranteed post-call day off

Qualifications
Required:
Master’s degree in nursing or higher
Graduate of ACME-accredited Certified Nurse-Midwifery Education Program
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority in the state of Texas
Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
Minimum one year experience as a Certified Nurse-Midwife required
Preferred:
2+ years experience as a Certified Nurse-Midwife
Out-of-hospital birth experience
2 years labor and delivery nursing experience
